Stevenage Borough Council provide housing services and information for residents and the community of the Hertfordshire Borough of Stevenage. For the purpose of this collaboration, they were awarding 2 Major Refurbishment Contracts to Mullaley and Wates.
PML Group were asked to help ensure that the contracts are correctly mobilised and that all the required processes, training and support were in place to embed the collaborative behaviours required to ensure that the partnering contracts will be successful and deliver the required outcomes.
PML worked collaboratively with Stevenage Borough Council throughout the commission and transferred knowledge to the partnering team members, with our approach binge flexible in order to meet the needs of the partnership.
In addition to the specific tasks required by Stevenage Borough Council to be undertaken as part of the Partnering Advisor role, PML were also requested to undertake some further training in the form of Collaborative Behavioural training.
PML supported the development of the cost model and facilitated a lessons learned session at the end of the pilot works, as well as delivering a strategic workshop with the Partnership Board to embed the role, function and expectations of the board to ensure maximum effectiveness.
This was followed up by a mid-year review of the partnership performance 6 months following commencement. In addition, PML would facilitate the annual review meeting.
