Title:

Collabor-8 Workshop – Abri SHDF Project

Client:

Guildmore / Abri

Details:

PML were asked to facilitate a Collabor-8 workshop to help Client Abri, consultant Keegans and Contractor Guildmore improve their collective performance.

Following a fun icebreaker session, the teams worked through a number of participative exercises they showed them the importance of perceptions. The Red-Blue game introduced the teams to the benefits of adopting collaborative behaviours (and the consequences of not doing so)

Each team than shared their expectations of each other and scored current performance by way of offering open and candid feedback. Each party then created an action plan to address issues raised in the feedback and improve their performance. Overall impression feedback score from this workshop was 100%.

Outcomes:
  • Everyone understood the nature of perception and how it can adversely impact team performance
  • All parties had clear expectations about what was expected from their partners
  • Specific actionable performance feedback was received from partners to enable them to prioritise their actions in response to this.
  • The production of transparent (SMART) action plans setting out the changes which need to be made, to enable partners to hold each other to account for the benefit of the overall project.
  • An expectations framework that enables the ongoing monitoring and measurement of collaboration success.
